Summer of Dreams

No7 have an amazing summer collection out with gorgeous colours and glamorous gold swirled print packaging. What's even better is that it's been released the same time that Boots are doing a £5 off no7 voucher!

The collection exists of a golden toned bronzer, a peach lipgloss and a pink lipgloss, a silver glitter topcoat and a gold glitter topcoat and a packet of 4 stunning chubby eye pencils. However as you can see from the photo, as with all their limited edition ranges, it has been flying off the shelves! Hopefully more deliveries will arrive in stores as I purchased the gold nail varnish but would have liked a lipgloss too as they have a great spongy applicator!

Here's the amazing top coat I did pick out however...

The top coat comes out with big flecks of gold, I layered it over Barry M's Berry Ice Cream and sealed it with Seche Vite. These photos are after 3 days wear, so pretty impressed!

If you see the Summer of Dreams collection in your boots, grab something from it quick!

Paisley charm

Paisley is a print that I've seen lurking about this season and months ago I would have turned my nose up at it's 60's flare but now I think I am won over!

Paisley was popular during the swinging 60's, heavily identified with psychedelic style and the interest in Indian spirituality. The funky prints appeared again on the s/s 12 catwalks...

Alexa Chung in JW Anderson and Jill Sander s/s 12 catwalk

Without thinking of a grannie's curtains there are some hot pieces out there on the high street.

Warehouse silk blouse £35 (was £50!), Adore this matching blazer and short suit from asos, Love dipped hem skirt £38.

Oasis headwrap £6 for just an accessory, keep touching this H&M shirt in the shop soo bright but I may cave in.. H&M £19.99 and Topshop Silk Shift Dress £70.

Have you picked up any Paisley items this summer?

OOTD

Shirt - Forever 21
Jacket - Topshop
Pink Jeans - Limited Collection @ M&S
Bag - Furla
Bracelet - Primark kids

Had a lovely day today getting spoilt by my mum in Fortnum & Mason with Bellini and ice cream (really recommend their ice cream parlour!) These jeans are actually a much more neon pink than pastel which I love and they are very comfy. Couldn't believe I found this cute cupcake bracelet in the kids section for £1.50 in Primark yesterday, it's chain is big enough for adults wrists. This Furla bag is my pride and joy, was from their talent hub range and has a quirky Alice in Wonderland print on it.

Beagle Nails

£2.30 ebay

I love having fun with my nails and experimenting in nail art if I have the chance, these nail stickers are the easiest way to have some fun. I came across them here from the amazing effiesmakeupbox blog. I had a bit of difficulty peeling them off the backing paper but it was completely worth the challenge. Having grown up with beagles I loved looking down at the little fellas, even if people thought it was a bit crazy!

I painted a clear pink base and cut them to stick on top, then sealed with Seche Vite (the best top coat ever). You get a large selection with spares and I loved the fact that the dogs were facing different directions.

Check out janchristie's ebay page to see tons more breeds of dogs and cats, or even more on her website http://janchristie.com/ (birds, flowers or your own picture!)

Clueless

One of my favourite films is the classic cheesy Clueless. Cher Horowitz was a 90s fashion icon and her colour co-ordinated revolving wardrobe was to die for. Seeing as 90s fashion style has come back round again, it's worth watching again for inspiration. (Seen a lot of her sheer shirts around, particularly in H&M trend!)

So as soon as I saw on the Topshop website the new lipstick called 'clueless' I was intrigued...

It is £7 and a very bright fluro pink chubby stick which makes it really easy for application and there's no bleeding. It feels really soft on your lips and it's staying power is remarkable even after drinks. I would not recommend it for daywear eg. work though as it is very bright but really makes an outfit pop for the evening.

I love wearing it at the moment and am looking forward to trying out more of Topshop's make up range which is 2 years old this year. 5 stars!!

The Aquatic Trend

The spring/summer '12 catwalks were awash with sea themes running through; corals, scales, tropical prints and shimmering metallic fabrics. The high street has come up trumps with affordable alternatives to dip in to this trend...

£1,150 Mary Katrantzou                       £17 Primark

Check out this stunning printed dress by Mary Katrantzou but retails at a scary £1,150 from stylebop.com. Primark does a great alternative for a much cheaper £17!! I purchased mine from the Oxford Street branch, I don't think small branches will be stocking it unfortunately, but it's worth the travel! Fits like a dream in a tulip style, can't wait to wear it.
Zara have also released their alternative in lighter hues, beautiful for a wedding.

Welcome

So this is my first post! After spending about a year indulging in reading loads of fantastic high street fashion blogs I felt that after moving to London I wanted to join in by sharing my discoveries!

Bear with my while I get to grips with 'Blogger' as I fear it will take a bit of time to learn the ropes!

What will I be blogging about? Trends, hauls, make-up reviews, events in London and more!

And why square marshmallow? Why not...
