Shoe find of the week #3

Normally a Monday post but was travelling back home last night as have booked a week off to escape the madness of commuting in London's Olympics! Looking forward to seeing some friends and just chilling out.

These 99 Ties by Jeffrey Campbell are not technically from the highstreet nor affordable but I came across them in the week and just had to post them. I'm a sucker for galaxy print and it is rare to see galaxy print shoes! It is part of a joint collection with the fantastic black milk clothing who started off the trend of cosmic print leggings. I prefer the 99 ties to to the litas that you see all over blogs as they look easier to walk in. Get them here for £121.23 with what looks like free international shipping!

Olympics Torch Relay concert in Hyde Park

Sunglasses - New Look, Sandals - New Look (old), Shorts - Indigo at M&S, Top - Zara sale.

Beer in the sun and a geeky picture of my friend and I with the torch!

Had an amazing day Thursday in Hyde Park at the Olympics Torch Relay Finale concert with Coca Cola. Tickets were available for free or £15 on the door, which was a fantastic price for such a great event. Blessed with gorgeous weather I got to enjoy some great performances and Coca Cola were giving out free coke which was a bonus too! There were loads of artists on to celebrate the end of the torch relay and the evening culminated in a performance by Dizzee Rascal. He played a new track called 'Bassline Junkie', listen out for it soon because it is ace!

I wore my new shorts from M&S which comfy and are a great length as you don't have to be self-conscious of your upper thighs! I also wore my new top I grabbed in the Zara sale for £19.99, it has a cute sunglasses print and silver studs on the shoulders. However it was really gapey on the boobs and I had to buy emergency tit tape! So I may be selling it on ebay...

What do you think of my effort at Olympic nails? I didn't own the exact colours of the rings but I had fun attempting it. I dipped the tips in gold glitter to epitomise a flame!

What did you think of the opening ceremony? The industrial revolution section was so impressive but my favourite section had to be Bond and the Queen!

OOTD - H&M studded bag & tropical shorts

Spent a lovely day yesterday down my local park, chilling with a magazine, playing table tennis and having a picnic with cider! Making the most of this glorious weather whilst we have it by heading to Hyde Park today. My outfit here is pretty much all H&M! I got the tropical shorts this week for £3 in their sale, they are loose and super comfortable. Old H&M vest, old new look sandals and recent new look sunnies. I found this stunning bag in the H&M flagship on Regent Street this week for just £29.99.

I spent ages trying to decide between the white or black, but eventually chose the black as I'd probably get the white dirty with make-up and have needed a new black bag for ages. If you like this bag go snap it up soon, I don't think they will last long!

Shoe find of the week #2

Crushing on these studded cowboy ankle boots from Zara with a worthy price of £69.99 considering they are 100% leather.
Was first directed to them by Lydia's post here who had purchased them and made me very envious! They look super comfortable and I think the colour would go with a lot of items, from denim jeans to a toughening up a floaty summer dress. I do not own tan boots or really ankle boots... so I'm dreaming of purchasing these on payday!
The only problem is, would the colour get dirty easily do you think?

Barry M Glossy Tube - Iridescent Violet Glitter

I am loving my new glossy tube from Barry M which is a steal at just £3.99.
It's name, 'Iridescent Violet Glitter' is pretty spot on for it's description. The colours in the tube almost have a holographic violet sheen, there is no glitter in the consistency but it does glisten on your lips. When it is applied it is not too vivid a colour, which means it can be worn to work or over another colour for an extra special effect. I hate lip glosses that are ultra sticky and I end up having half my hair stuck across my face, thankfully this is not a factor with Barry M's glossy tubes. The only drawback to this product is that it smells strongly of bubblegum but fortunately it does not linger when applied.

This is my first glossy tube from Barry M and it has taken current first place out of my large lip gloss collection!

Shoe find of the week #1

Perhaps the start of a new feature this week, ' Shoe find of the week'! Let me know what you think.

These boots from Kandee Shoes have such a fun 90's print on yellow calf fur, and I love the black crystal heel.
Seen here on Rita Ora, love how she styled them with black leather look leggings and a banana print top.
Whats even better is that they are available here in the sale, from £180 to £54! I am tempted, even though they are way too high for me to be able to walk in... although that does look like a hidden platform at the front!

OOTD - Zara shirt

Still trying to get the hang of outfit posts, need to start taking pictures outside as it's a massive pain with lighting inside! (and not to mention the fact that I feel like a lemon!)
Just wanted to do a quick one to show you my new shirt from Zara that I grabbed in the sale for £29.99!

Love the spike detailing on the shoulders. The lipstick is 'Glace' by No7.

My classic comfy jeans, £19.99 H&M.

Did you buy anything cool from the Zara sale? I'm checking every day for further reduction time!

Toile De Jouy

Toile De Jouy is a print I have always loved so wanted to do a quick post
to show you a wish list of products that are available now on the high street.

The stunning pink dress with cut out shoulders is £40 here from Topshop (also available in yellow) and I will definitely be hunting it down in the shop! The second dress I have been hovering my mouse over for ages but the weather at the moment has put me off! I love the drop hem effect too. It is in the sale at £19 here from 18 and East. The scalloped shorts are also from 18 and East and are £28 here. The blazer and puffball skirt are from ASOS here and are £60 and £35. I also included two bedsets as I am currently on the hunt for new bedding! The bottom right is from M&S and is up to £45 here whilst the top picture is IKEA and is £20.99 here

I love the delicate nature of the bedding although don't think I could persuade my boyfriend to agree on it... Even though the IKEA set is a great price I think the quality of the M&S bedding would last longer and feel softer. After primark bedding I feel it's time for a treat!

NOTD Ring Finger Glitter!

I thought I'd try out the ring finger trend by applying two coats of glitter to just the ring finger's nail.
I picked up this gorgeous glitter nail varnish the other day from H&M for a bargainous £3!

I have recently started using OPI's nail envy for senstive and peeling nails and have used it as a base coat here. I have awful nails and even though it is an expensive product at £18 I am desperate to stop them peeling! You are meant to apply it every other day on it's own as a healing product but I'm not doing too well at keeping that up at the moment!
I have become a big fan of Seche Vite top coat. It makes the nails feel strong, protects against chipping and helps nails dry quicker too I think.

As well as the H&M glitter nail varnish I have used a duochrome nail varnish by Nails Inc called 'Garrick Street',
which is a deep purple/blue.

The left photo is taken with a flash, the right in daylight.

I'm really impressed by the quality of the H&M nail varnish, I love how it has multi coloured glitter in different lighting. I will probably end up doing all my nails in it! I'd say it's a cheaper dupe of Models Own Juicy Jules. The Nails Inc is a gorgeous colour however it took ages to dry and had chipped by the morning which is a shame. However I love the effect the two nail varnishes have together, reminds me of a galaxy print which I love!
